Online Gambling Platform Scams
PaySpot would like to draw users attention to the presence of foreign online platforms that enable participation in gambling activities using digital assets (virtual currencies), either directly or through third-party conversion services, and that do not hold authorization from the competent authorities to operate gambling services within the Republic of Serbia.
The use of such platforms is not compliant with the regulations governing gambling activities in the Republic of Serbia. For this reason, users are advised to exercise extra caution and verify the regulatory status and licensing of any platform before using its services within Serbia.
Particular concern arises from the fact that some of these platforms actively promote their services through social media, often engaging influencers, YouTubers, and other public figures. Such promotional activities do not constitute proof that a platform is authorized to offer gambling services, nor do they guarantee the safety or security of users.
In addition to regulatory concerns, using unauthorized platforms may expose users to a number of risks, including:
- Loss of deposited funds and limited ability to exercise user rights;
- Inability or difficulty in claiming and withdrawing potential winnings;
- Misuse of personal and financial information;
- Unauthorized transactions and other forms of financial fraud;
- Increased risks associated with purchasing and transferring digital assets.
PaySpot continuously monitors security risks in the digital environment and encourages users to conduct financial transactions responsibly, using only trusted services that comply with applicable laws and regulations.
